Preschool Pyramid Model of Social Emotional Support Cohort: Comprehensive Series Tier 2 (Sessions 1,2,3)
The Pyramid Model is a scientifically based positive behavioral framework that promotes evidence-based practices to teach social emotional competencies to all young children. The framework identifies key skills for supporting relationships, creating learning environments, teaching targeted social emotional skills, and supporting children with challenging behavior.
A revamped format for Pyramid Model training, has been designed to provide a comprehensive and progressive learning experience. This three-tiered cohort model focuses on building your expertise from foundational concepts to advanced interventions. Participants will receive the ePyramid modules at no cost.
Tier 2: Targeted Social - Emotional Supports: Delve into more specific and targeted strategies for fostering social-emotional competencies in young children. Upon completion, participants will receive 11 total credit hours (8 self-study hours + 3 hours of cohort meetings).
While separate registrations are required for each cohort; professional development credits will be provided upon completion of each tier. In order to ensure a cohesive learning journey, participants are being asked to:
* Complete Tier 1 before advancing to Tiers 2 and 3
* When possible, complete all tiered cohorts within the same STAR NET Region to ensure continuity and consistent support throughout your training
* Provide evidence of completion of Tier 1, if completed outside of Region V
* Maintain full attendance at each cohort session in order to receive credit for that specific tier; we are unable to issue partial credits within tiered cohorts
We believe this new format will provide a richer, more connected learning experience as you master the Pyramid Model framework over the duration of the school year.
